At Resurrection Church we have five core values; Jesus, Love, Truth, Transformation, Legacy. These five values inform our philosophies of ministry, provide guidance in how we equip leaders and help shape the culture of our church body.
These values also inform how we are to live in community. They inform our purpose and help us gage our health as disciples. To the right is an evaluation form that will help you assess the health of your Community Group. Use this quarterly to identify areas of growth and encourage the areas where your group is healthy.
Each group is committed to the vision and mission of Resurrection Church and led by a trained and approved leader of the church. The group members disciple one another and seek out opportunities to live on mission together. They encourage one another to worship and abide in JESUS and surrender to his Lordship in all of life. (ref. Colossians 1:15-20; John 15:1-17)
Each participant is committed to being transparent, humble and compassionate with one another. They carry one another’s burdens and are committed to speaking the truth in LOVE to each other. The group also creates additional opportunities outside of the designated meeting time to further develop their relationships with one another, as well as, serve others. (ref. John 13:34)
Each participant learns to embrace the TRUTH of scripture by; listening and reading the Word, learning God’s desires for them, participating in group discussions and living out personal application. (ref. 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Community is a safe place to share life and experience TRANSFORMATION together. The participants encourage each other to embrace their identity in Jesus and prayerfully discern the guidance of the Holy Spirit as they practice faith and repentance together. (ref. Colossians 3:1-17)
Each group gathers at a designated host home, for a potluck style meal, bible-based discussion, and prayer. Kids CG is available from within the group and is overseen by the leader. Their time together is focused on; applying God’s Word to their lives, serving one another, and building LEGACY together by being disciples who make disciples. (ref. Matthew 28:18-20)
