WORSHIP SCHEDULE:

SUNDAY: The Holy Eucharist is offered at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

TUESDAY: Canterbury-The Holy Eucharist is offered at 5:30 p.m. followed by cookout at the pool. All are invited to any service in the Episcopal Church!

THURSDAY: Healing service and Holy Eucharist at 12:05 p.m. followed by Dutch Treat lunch.

SPECIAL NURSERY NOTE - The Nursery is now staffed beginning at 7:45 on Sunday mornings, so it is available during the early Eucharist!

BIRTHDAY SUNDAY - Birthday Sunday is July 1st. Congratulations to those with birthdays in July.

ST. MARTHA'S GUILD will meet July 2nd in the Student Center for brown bag lunch and fellowship. New members are always welcome.

OFFICE CLOSED - The office will be closed July 4 and reopen on Thursday, July 5.

WOMAN'S SPIRITUALITY CIRCLE - The Woman's Spirituality Circle will meet July 10 and 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Student Center. This group offers women a safe, open and supportive environment for exploring a variety of spiritual issues and challenges, as well as finding points of connection as a group. Women of varying religious traditions are welcomed! If you have questions call Linda Cox at 325-2091 (work) or 324-3876 (home).

SECOND SUNDAY SHARING is July 8. Please bring canned goods for the food pantry. Remember those in our own community who are hungry.

MISSISSIPPI-YORK EXCHANGE PROGRAM Elizabeth Wheatley and Suzy Hatten will be in England as part of the Mississippi -York Exchange Team June 26-July 24. Please keep them in your prayers as they travel and learn more about the church and culture of Northern England.

SWIMMING POOL UPDATE - The pool has been rented by First United Methodist Church July 2, 23, and 30 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Please plan your visits accordingly. For contributions to the pool operating fund, please make a separate check to Church of the Resurrection and mark it "pool fund". MUSIC AND LITURGY CONFERENCE is July 31 to August 5 in Vicksburg. For more information, applications are available on the bulletin boards in the Student Center and the Office.

RENOVATION COMMITTEE REPORT - David VanLandingham, chair of the renovation Committee and Jr. Warden Happy Deas made a presentation to the parish during the Sunday School Hour on Pentecost. Copies of the report are available in the narthex, and in the church office. If you would like a copy and it is not convenient for you to pick one up, call the office and one will be mailed to you.

MANY THANKS to Gail Foote for agreeing to serve as clerk of the vestry. Welcome, Gail!

MORE THANKS and farewell to Matt and Heather Owens who have been our newcomer welcoming committee for several years. They have done a great job with their cookie ministry. They are moving to Jackson, and we will miss them in all aspects of parish life. Farewell and Godspeed.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY - There is an opening for working with the newcomer welcoming committee (see above). If you have ideas and are interested in working with newcomers, please call Jack Hollister at 324-0458 or Mary Eleanor Anderson at 323-3259 or rga1@ra.mssstate.edu.

DEADLINES - Please help us get news and notices out in a timely fashion. Have your notices for the Sunday Bulletin in the office by Wednesday noon, and for the Newsletter by the 15th of the month.

CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY is extended to Russell Gaines on the death of his wife, Mimi and to Juawice McCormick on the death of her mother, Geneva Hutchinson Moore. "Rest eternal grant them, O Father, and let light perpetual shine upon them." Pray for all who mourn.

YOUR PRAYERS ARE ASKED FOR Leanne Fazio, Marlene Evans, Gretchen Passons, and LaVora Williams as they undergo treatment, and Janice Killebrew, Susan Hill, and Lorene Martin who are recovering from surgery.

MEMORIALS were received the past month in the names of Mimi Gaines, Pepper Holland, and Lillian Horton Stark.
